Kent International Jamboree 2009
We have been asked to support KIJ 2009 in Kent, so we're all looking forward to
this event, running from 30th July - 6th August, a Thursday to Thursday event
which will be a little different. Look forward to seeing you there!
Poacher 2008
Another Fantastic Poacher at the Lincoln Showground, usual fun had by all!
2007
World Jamboree! As Most of us have our own units with their own satellite Camps
to commemorate the World Jamboree being held in England we will mainly be
supporting one of these individually...
CamJam 2006
Slight Change of venue for this years CamJam, with better drainage should the
worst happen again! thankfully it didn't... Nice and relaxed camping, a lot
smaller than previous years due to the amount of other jamborees on this year to
avoid clashing with The World Jamboree in 2007, but we had a great time & meant
we could spend more time together than numbers would otherwise allowed...
Poacher 2004
The NSFST Worked the week as security for Poacher 2004 held at the Lincoln
Showground, fantastic camp, bit of a shame mind about the lack of showers for a
few days and the lack of fun at times, but on the whole a good camp had by all.
Weather was fantastic apart from one very brief downpour, shame about the wasps
though!!!
NorJam 2003
We came, we saw, we worked hard the whole week doing long shifts with not too
long in-between before the next one was due to start, but we still managed to
have a good time and provide the level of security that is required and expected
at such a large event. At one point when the heavens opened we were fully
expecting a repeat of Camjam so within a short time we were all ready in force
to deal with the problem but thankfully the rain gave way. With a few issues on
the 'Bronx' that added to the whole fun of the week.
CamJam 2002
The NSFST could be found working hard all week at The East of England
Showground. The weather was against us, but still we had fun, carrying out a
very professional role which involved the evacuation of 600 Scouts and Guides,
Securing the safety of all the young people during a World Championship Speedway
Competition, as well as the more mundane tasks of general security duties.
Nailer 2001
The NSFST took on a very different role to normal, acting as Safety Marshall's
for the onsite activities and the general camping areas. We also stepped it to
help the security team when problems arose that they were a little inexperienced
to deal with.
Avon Moot 2000
We provided security cover for this event, at Woodhouse Park, Bristol so that
some 600 Venture Scouts and Rangers could enjoy an action packed weekend.
